The Penderwicks is a great book to read! It's funny and cute.It is for older kids though because there is slight kissing and girlhood crushes that are not the main POINT.But it is an innocent adorable book with a very cute four year old.
Have you read the Tale of Despereaux? I heard that the book is better than the movie. We haven't seen/read either but I was thinking of maybe reading it with Emily this summer. What do you think of it? Appropriate for her age?

Kissing is yucky. Sounds like no one under the age of 34 should be reading this book.
We read that aloud two. I think it might be okay but the book is a little hard to get into and a little scary.The changed it alot in the movie.
Good to know. We're almost finished with Pippi Longstocking now and Emily LOVES it! Such a fun book :)
