It was a hot August Saturday when I dashed into a store called Sports Hats Galore. I needed to get a hat for the Eagles game I was going to. They were playing Texas in the World Cup and we were late. I hurried over to a display of soccer team hats, pulled out a bright orange eagles hat, and put it on my head to try it on. POOF!
I opened my eyes and looked around dazed. Where am I? I wondered. I looked down at myself. YIKES! I nearlly jumped out of my skin. There I was, dressed in a bright oragne Eagles jersey with shin guards to match. "TWEET!" a sharp whistle made me look up just in time to see the Eagles defender get kicked in the shin hard. CRACK! I could hear the bone break all the way from the sidelines of the game. (That's where I knew I was now.) Then out of nowhere I heard a voice. "Oh no!: I barely heard it over the cries of "Auggh!" from the screaming man but it was there. I jerked my head up. It was the coach. "I tapped him on the shoulder. "Waht's the matter?" I asked. "The defender's replacment is out with measles," he sobbed, "we'll have to forfeit!" "I'll play!" I cried. I guess the coach was too suprised to notice I was a girl, he just didn't want to forfeit. "Okay, he said. "ALL RIGHT!" I cheered and headed for the defenders position.
"TWEET!" went the whisstle and there I was in the 4th quarter, the score 3-2, we were winning and a Texas offense coming towards me. HUH! Where did that come from? I looked around now very alert. Sure enough a Texas player was coming towards me. His eyes narrowed to slits and I followed his moves like a cobra sneaking up on a mouse. Suddenly, he tood one of those big bulky feet and slammed the ball towards me. My eyes flashed and as the ball came towards me, I smoothly ran to the side, and it seemed like I grabbed a bolt of lightning energy out of the sky.
I lifted the orange daouble knotted cleat and with all the muscles in my body, slammed the ball so hard it whammed into the other goal! The crowd gasped.
"GOAL!" cried the referee just as the clock buzzed the end of the game. "Woahh!" screamed the crowd. My teamates lifted me on their shoulders so fast my hat toppled off my head. POOF! Not again!
I opened my eyes. I was back in Sports Hats Galore sitting in the middle of a display of soccer hats. The cashier, a high school jock, looked at me and grinned. "Would you like to try another sports hat?" he asked smiling.
I shook my head anergitically. "No thank you." I said, and dashed out. As I ran home I thought one thing and only one thing. I'M NOT GOING IN THERE AGAIN!

Oceans
As I stare into the shiny blue waters my feet moving up and down, making little bubbles that drive tiny clown-fish into the sea anamanis. I can feel the cool salty waters aganist my skin. As I turn over on my back I can see a whale spouting. Tiny golden droplets fly through the air like golden pearl raindrops, first shattering the clear blue glass of the sky, then hitting the deep blue waves like gluing the pearls to a deep blue diamond.
As I Close My Eyes
As I close my eyes I start to dream. I dream of fairytales and things that were, and will come. I dream of animals, dancing in a swrill of colors all around me. I dream of fields of colors all around with the people and things that I wish were real, but come only alive in my brain when they are drawing a picture in my brain by the writers pencils. This world is imaginary, and will never become solid, but will always stray into peoples minds, for no one has any limits in there thoughts. This is where they can say and do anything.

Life of a Water Diamond
A glistening droplet falls down, down, down to the deep blue diamond sea.
The gems and pearls of fish swish it back and forth.
The great golden light of the lamp of the sky, making the water diamond rise up, up, up again, giving it only a moment of rest.
The droplet, with hundreds of others, rises up, up, up to an old sweet cloud that has changed its shape many times.
The droplet has made a friend, but in the dewness of May falls again like he did so many moons ago, down, down, down
into a river, only to rise up, up, up again and then down, down, down
to freeze, then melt, and to be dirtied by hands, eagerly waiting to be washed for dinner, then cleansed.
Up and down the droplet goes all around.
It is the true traveler of the world.
A poem written for science. We are studying the water cycle.
